#4 Officially retired! (well sort of)

Yes it's true, I am officially retired, and loving it! Well the sort of part is that I know I will have to go back to work some time in the future( part time), unless I find that tree.... you know the one my Dad and Mom used to say it didn't grow on!LoL.

So now I have the time I need to focus on all the things I was trying to get done after getting home exhausted from standing 10 + hours a day at work, or during the weekend when I was in need of catching up on rest from the work week. My wife Margie is still working (bless her heart) so that we may continue to save $ as we are determined to be on the road fulltime by the fall or sooner( minus 12 degrees was just too cold for us this year).

We just need to get rid of all the items (many on Craigslist already) that have been holding us back from our "adventure of a lifetime".

I have been upgrading some things in our motorhome for the past few months, such as converting most all of the interior lights to LED's that draw much less wattage from the batteries for when we will be "Boondocking"(Free camping/ Dry camping/ no hookups). I have been looking into some solar panels to mount on the roof for recharging the batteries too, New Oxygenics shower head (http://www.oxygenics.com/shower_heads/bodyspa-hh-w-sp-kit/) to conserve water for the same reason. I also replaced the front suspension air bags that were leaking, rebuild the carburetor with updated seals that can hold up to the new gasoline additives (alcohol), new tires for the front wheels, ( rear to come). Now for a tune up on the generator, new circuit board for the fridge that is now only working on AC and maybe propane and not 12 volt as it should also.

So this is just a little update for everyone, and maybe a shocker for some friends and family (the retired part).
I have decided to post a link to this on my Facebook account for some of my friends and family that are not fully aware of our intentions of fulltiming and /or do not know of "Our Imperial RVing Adventure" blog, which I noticed today it has been almost one year since I started this blog!
To many of our friends and family who are worried that we are "leaving them forever", this just isn't so, we will always be just a phone call away and some of the time even closer, just with the freedom to travel where we want to be, like in a warmer climate this time of year.We love you all!

We are hoping this blog will inspire you to start your own journey to freedom.

Feel free to comment, but please keep it positive!

Some people are sayers and some people are doers, which are you?

Thanks for stopping by!
